In fact it's predicted that by 2019 plastic production rates will reach 500 million tonnes per year, that is 900% more than in the 1980s.

Litter and pollution are a major problem for the environment. It's estimated that over 1 million marine animals worldwide are killed each year due to plastic debris. Not only is this litter threatening for wildlife, but it's also dangerous for people and damaging to our tourism and fishing industry.

Beach cleans are a simple and effective way of reducing the amount of litter on our beach and oceans. Organise beach cleans regularly throughout the year to help create a safer environment for wildlife, our families, friends and ourselves.
